Hampton Poker Club are a group of local poker players who get together to play tournament Texas Hold'em without the need for having to visit a casino or card room. 

All games are held on a monthly basis at varying locations around the local area, so please look at the forthcoming events page for the venue and feel free to contact me for directions. 

The game we play as stated above is tournament Texas Hold'em which means that every player pays the same for their buy into the tournament which can vary depending on how many are playing and then all players start with the same value of chips usually between 3500 - 5000.

The blinds then increase at a set time which is decided by all the players prior to the tournament beginning, and then you let your poker skills do the talking, the man (or woman) who wins all the chips will be crowned champion for that game and then time permitting, another tournament will take place (Only at HPC events) 

The majority of events are rebuy tournaments, which means that for the first hour of play, if you lose you chips or your chip stack is 1000 or below at any point, you can rebuy for the same price as your buy in. There will also be a Top Up available at the end of the first hour to all players, regardless of chip size, again at the some cost as the buy in. 

The split of prize money again will depend on how many players there are and will be decided by all players before the first cards are dealt, it is usually for a Top 3.  

HPC runs a league table and players will score points for a top 3 finish and the player at the end of the year with the highest points total will be awarded the much coveted HPT (Hampton Poker Tour) braclet. We have named it this as HPC events are subject to change around the country. 

HPC has a great atmopsphere and all that attend enjoy themselves, it is a great social event and also a superb opportunity to experience playing 'live' poker and honing your skills.
